Vehicles for Change Detroit

The Suburban Collection is proud to partner with Vehicles for Change Detroit, a non-profit organization that works to provide cars for families lacking regular and reliable transportation. This year, we donated several cars to the program and provided access to our Highline dealership for their 20 Cars for 20 Families event, which took place on Tuesday, October 22nd.

The 20 Cars for 20 Families event was an intimate philanthropic gathering of approximately 75 guests. At the event, my son, David Fischer Jr., spoke about the organization and our commitment to it while donating a vehicle to a family in need. As the event name suggests, The Suburban Collection was not the only dealer group participating—in total, 20 cars were donated that evening.

Since 2015, VFCD has collaborated with both nonprofit and for-profit organizations—all dedicated to solving the transportation challenges facing Detroit’s impoverished families. Through VFCD, organizations and private individuals alike have the opportunity to donate cars, all of which are put through rigorous testing to ensure quality and safety standards.
